Job Summary

The Registered Nurse I in Diagnostic Imaging provides specialized interventional radiology procedures for acute, chronic and critically ill patients (neonatal and pediatric). Work includes completing advanced assessment and monitoring of patients pre, during, and post procedures as necessary ( review patient history, vital signs, blood work, chart, medication); assisting physicians with guiding instruments such as sheaths, catheters and wires through blood vessels or the skin in procedures in Ultrasound, CT ( circulating and scrub nurse); performing IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion, and PCA pump setup; administering conscious sedation; monitoring neuro visual/neuro signs; performing sterile scrub techniques and thrombolytics; and draping patients.
