2026-015E - Term Specific Teacher/District Counsellor

District Counsellor (Itinerant) Term‑specific, 1.0 FTE district position. The District Counsellor will work collaboratively with the Inclusive Education Team, school‑based teams, and the District Child & Youth Care Workers to support student learning, well‑being, and mental health throughout the Fraser Cascade School District.

Responsibilities

Provide mental health supports for students attending the Fraser Cascade School District, including those working remotely.

Offer support to students and families at school, at home, and off‑site locations, including on reserve.

Work flexible hours to meet student and family needs, including after‑school and evening times.

Prioritize the needs of elementary students.

Collaborate with the Inclusive Education Department to support all priority students.

Work closely with the ICY Team, completing referrals to the ICY Team and other agencies.
