2D Echo Nurse

Overview:
The 2D Echo Nurse shall provide quality service on the non-invasive procedures involving the cardiovascular system.  S/he completes new testing procedures and s/he works closely with the team for echo and vascular studies

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform 2-D Echo and Doppler procedures (including pulse wave, imaging, non-imaging continuous wave, and color flow mapping) on patients
• Providing clear explanations of the test process
• Attaching necessary equipment
• Adjusting control settings to ensure optimal display while recording results
• Conduct Carotid Duplex scans and peripheral vascular ultrasounds (AVDS and VDS)
• Operate the Echo machine, interpreting both normal and abnormal ECG tracings.
• Collaborate with doctors to assist in the interpretation of procedure results.
