3-year PostDoc position in Theoretical Physics, Krakow, Poland

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in gravity and cosmology with an emphasis on semiclassical methods, within the Institute of Theoretical Physics of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science, Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland).

We seek candidates with a versatile profile and a good knowledge of general relativity and quantum field theory. The ideal candidate will also have some familiarity with numerical methods and quantum field theory in curved spacetime. They will work in Dr. George Zahariade’s group and will be funded under SONATA BIS Grant No. 2023/50/E/ST2/00231 “Gravity and Field Theory at the Classical/Quantum Interface” from the Polish National Science Center. Collaboration with other groups within the Institute of Theoretical Physics will also be encouraged. A PhD degree by the start of the appointment is required.
