Core Responsibilities

• Auxiliary Machinery Maintenance: Directly responsible for the upkeep of air compressors, purifiers (fuel and lube oil), and sewage treatment plants.
• Fresh Water Systems: Operates and maintains fresh water generators, including routine descaling, chemical dosing, and performance monitoring.
• Watchkeeping: Performs standard engine room watch duties both at sea and in port, monitoring machinery parameters and recording data in the engineering logbook.
• Bunkering Assistance: Acts as the primary assistant to the Chief Engineer during bunkering operations (fuel, diesel, and lube oil), ensuring accurate sounding logs and valve line-ups.
