Objectives of the BTC Justice Program: Liaison between Indigenous and Non Indigenous accused and criminal justice personnel, to help overcome communication barriers and reduce aboriginal alienation. This includes advocating for the accused and maintaining communication and collaboration with criminal justice personnel (ex. lawyers, police, the judiciary, probation/parole officers) at all stages. Helping the client/accused speak for themselves before the court and with various justice system personnel. This may also include providing appropriate information to the court. Qualifications
