A/C Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Set up new AC units, ductwork, and related mechanical systems following blueprints and codes.
• Conduct routine inspections, clean components, replace filters, and check refrigerant levels to ensure peak efficiency.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, diagnose malfunctions, and repair or replace faulty parts like compressors, motors, and controls.
• Use tools to identify system problems, test components, and ensure optimal performance.
• Explain issues, provide cost estimates, recommend upgrades, and advise on energy efficiency.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including handling refrigerants.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Completion of an accredited HVAC or vocational program.
• EPA 608 certification (for refrigerants) and relevant trade licenses, required.
