Position summary:

The Academic Advisor for Health Sciences provides accurate information in the advising process including the following: career exploration, course selection, graduation requirements, articulation, and transfer information, and career readiness preparation while considering the prominence of student retention for students seeking admittance to their chosen career program. The advisor demonstrates a good understanding of each pathway in the division and the necessary prerequisites for admittance to each selective admission program within the division of Health Sciences. The primary focus of the advisor will be to assist students with selection of course(s) for educational goal, course scheduling and degree audits to ensure progress towards student success, graduation, or re-direction to a different pathway if not selected to program of choice.
