Job Description
Our Client, a Clinical Laboratory company, is looking for an Accessioner I for their Shelton, CT location. Responsibilities:
+ Receives and triages all specimens for clinical testing.
+ Manages clinical information within LIMS database.
+ Collaborates with various departments to ensure testing accuracy.
+ Accession incoming specimens and route specimens to the appropriate laboratory or send them out to the appropriate satellite facility.
+ Prepare specimens for the laboratory prior to laboratory processing/testing, including sorting and labeling specimens and accompanying paperwork.
+ Data enter specimens, patient, and client information from specimen requisitions into the laboratory database.
+ Identify, alert, and hold specimens with incomplete processing information until resolved.
+ Verify requisitions are entered correctly into the database.
+ Scan, copy, and file specimen paperwork.
