What The Role Is
The Town Council Secretariat (TCS) assists the Ministry of National Development (MND) in overseeing and monitoring the Town Councils' (TCs) operations, governance, and financial matters. The department formulates and reviews policies related to TCs, including TCs Act, Rules, Regulations and Orders. It also reviews and checks on TCs' performance to ensure TCs' compliance with financial regulations in support of TCs' governance and operations.
What You Will Be Working On
You will join a team responsible for monitoring the TCs' financial performance and ensure their compliance to the legal and regulatory requirements. You will assist MND to review the financial statements prepared by TCs, assess TCs' claims for government grants, attend to financial matters relating to TCs, manage systems development projects and formulate work processes.
