Accounting Assistant – Accounts Payable

Performs day-to-day processing of accounts payables to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner by analyzing their source documents.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Receives and verifies details of invoices and requisitions of goods and services.
• Charges expenses to specific accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices, official receipts and other source documents.
• Issues payments for vendors, bills, and other payables through checks in a timely manner.
• Records all checks issued and their transmittals.
• Reconciles discrepancies with suppliers and other creditors.
• Ensures that vouchers and their attachments are forwarded to the authorized personnel.
• Updates the system on the details of the bills, official receipts, sales invoices and other documents received.
