Accounting Generalist

Job Summary:
The Accounting Generalist is responsible for preparing, encoding, and analyzing cost records, reports, and financial data. The role ensures accurate data of costing, monitors variances, and supports budgeting and inventory control processes to help management make informed financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and record product costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
Monitor cost variances and investigate significant differences from standard or expected costs.
Prepare monthly cost reports, profitability analyses, and inventory valuation reports.
Maintain and update standard cost structures in the accounting system.
Work closely with operations, purchasing, retail branches, and warehouse departments to verify actual costs.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, especially related to cost of goods sold (COGS), raw materials, and production costs.
