Job Description:
1. Building and Maintaining Financial Models:
Data Collection and Analysis: Gathering and organizing historical financial data (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements), operational data, and market information
Assumption Development: Identifying and validating key variables and assumptions that drive the model's projections (e.g., revenue growth rates, cost structures, capital expenditures, tax rates, discount rates).
Model Construction: Designing and developing complex financial models, typically in Excel or other spreadsheet software, that integrate various financial statements and schedules (e.g., depreciation, debt, working capital)
Ensuring Accuracy and Robustness: Meticulously checking models for errors, inconsistencies, and ensuring they accurately reflect the business's operational complexities. This includes using best practices for model design and structure.
