Accounting Manager (Toronto)

Our client, a national law firm is seeking an experienced accounting manager to lead the firm's core accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP, AR, GL, and Trust Accounting functions
• Oversee monthly accounting close processes and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with Law Society of Ontario, Law Society of Alberta, and Law Society of British Columbia trust accounting requirements
• Manage quarterly financial reporting and support annual financial statements and audits
• Oversee billing, collections, and AR performance improvements
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 10 accounting staff
• Improve systems, workflows, and internal controls across the accounting function

Requirements

• CPA designation (required or strongly preferred)
• 5-10+ years of accounting experience
• Strong experience in law firm or qualified services accounting preferred
