Accounting Specialist (Santiago de Chile)

Overview

Main Purpose: ensure the consistent, IFRS conform, preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annually reports, focused on Chile. Be and act as the senior expert, leading functional areas within the team and providing guidance to other colleagues, focused on Chile. Be a reference and act as first point of contact of innovation and automation topics in the area.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact of SCR; supervise and review activities performed; take up and clarify all operational accounting content topics in a timely manner.
• Manage and escalate the issues & complaints and track solutions.
• Give support to internal and external audit processes.
• Assure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, and Local GAAP).
• Review Balance Sheet and P&L accounts.
• Contribute to global as well local projects, legal entities mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
