Accounting Technician

Novack CPA is a boutique Ontario practice serving incorporated professionals and owner-managed businesses. We work on complex files with direct partner involvement on every engagement. We are not a volume shop, and we don't pretend to be one. We are hiring a full-time Accounting Technician to take ownership of compilation engagements, year-end bookkeeping, and corporate and personal tax preparation. This is a hands‑on file‑completion role reporting directly to the Managing Partner. What you’ll actually do

Prepare CaseWare Desktop compilation files end‑to‑end, including trial balance import, working papers, GIFI mapping, and draft financial statements. Complete year‑end bookkeeping cleanup in QuickBooks Online and Xero, including HST reconciliation, payroll true‑ups, and adjusting entries. Prepare T2 corporate tax returns in CCH iFirm TaxPrep, including Schedule 50, capital dividend account tracking, and integration of bookkeeping to tax. Prepare T1 personal tax returns ranging...
