Job Description
General Reinsurance, Cape Town Branch (a subsidary of General Reinsurance AG) is offering an opportunity for Actuary – Research & Analytics in our Life Australia, UK, SA, Canada division.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a challenging and rewarding role involving multiple work areas for Gen Re internally, externally as well as for our clients both locally and internationally:
Support of analysis and assessment of life and health reinsurance portfolios for the purposes of risk management, experience study, planning and quotation using advanced analytic techniques
Internal and external research relating to pricing, products, underwriting, claims, and other areas related to life insurance
Understanding data and applying modern analytical techniques to the data
Implementing practical changes based on research and analytics in various areas of business
Supporting large research projects and surveys
Presentations and training measures for clients
Marketing activities,...
