ADMISSIONS MENTAL HEALTH TECH/PART-TIME

Mental Health Technician

The Mental Health Tech provides direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders to ensure the safety and well being of the patients. This is a Part-Time position.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assist other staff members with actively disturbed and violent patients, requesting back-up personnel when needed
• Assist in the transfer and discharge of patients by assisting the patient in dressing and collecting personal possessions, valuables and carrying out the established discharge and transfer procedures
• Required to attend all mandatory monthly meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Two years experience working in a psychiatric setting
• CPR (May be acquired after hire)
• Effective Oral and Written Communication Skills
