Introduction

Purpose of the Role

The Adoption and Contact Care & Mediation Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising, and developing a team delivering adoption support, contact care and mediation services. The role ensures that services are child-centred, legally complaint, trauma-informed, and focused on achieving safe, stable, and positive outcomes for children, adoptive families, birth families and carers.

Leadership and Supervision

• Provide regular, reflective supervision and professional guidance to social workers responsible for providing adoption or contact care and mediation services
• Monitor performance, caseloads, and workloads to ensure high-quality, timely service delivery
• Support staff wellbeing, professional development, and continuous improvement
• Lead on recruitment, induction, appraisal, and capability processes where required
