Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant

Description of Key Responsibility:

+ Deliver high-quality health care to students, employees, and family members ages three to twenty-six within the State of Illinois APN guidelines and the scope of practice of the Dyson Wellness Center. Assess health status, order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnose and manage acute minor illnesses/ injuries and stable chronic illnesses, and provide patient education regarding diagnosis and treatment. Follow up with clients as appropriate. Provide referrals as warranted.

+ Provide clinical and professional supervision to the nursing staff. Maintain an excellent, collaborative relationship with the nurses and other members of the health care team including counselors, physician(s), campus advocate and administrative assistants.
