Agriculturist

Responsibilities

• Crop and Soil Management : Develop and implement sustainable farming practices to improve soil fertility, crop yields, and overall farm productivity.
• Research and Innovation : Conduct research on plant health, pest control, and new agricultural technologies to enhance farming techniques.
• Advisory Services : Provide expert advice and training to farmers on crop selection, irrigation, and disease prevention strategies.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Skills : Strong knowledge of soil science, crop management, and modern farming technologies; excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience : Minimum 1-3 years of experience in agricultural practices, research, or consultancy. Experience in sustainable or organic farming is a plus.
