Agronomist - Forage

PGG Wrightson Seeds, owned by the global seed cooperative DLF, supports New Zealand and global farmers with innovative forage and pasture solutions. As an R&D agronomist based in Palmerston North, NZ, you will conduct forage trials and demonstrate products for growers, working closely with internal technical, sales and marketing teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan, establish, manage and report on forage product development trials, ensuring accurate, robust and scientifically sound data.
• Maintain forage trial sites and regional demonstration areas to a high standard, including sowing, maintenance, harvesting and data collection.
• Support product positioning, extension activities and commercial strategies in collaboration with technical, sales and marketing teams.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with farmers, trial cooperators, research providers and key industry stakeholders.
