Position Overview Job Title: Aide - Instructional 
Position Type: Paraprofessional/Support Staff/Aide - Instructional 
Location: Brook Avenue Elementary

Wage/Hour Status: Non-exempt/At-Will 
Reports To: Principal and Teacher(s) Assigned 
Pay Grade/Days: 203 / 187 Days 
Dept./School: Campus Assigned 
Primary Purpose Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under supervision of certified teacher. 
Qualifications Education/Certification: Associate’s degree or two years of study (60 college hours) at an institute of higher learning or Para Professional Institute Certificate; Valid Texas educational aide certificate. 
Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics; Ability to work well with children; Ability to communicate effectively.
