Airfield Safety Manager

This position is physically located in Balad, Iraq
Serves as Airfield Safety Officer for the Airfield and all Air Transport Services. Versatile, self-starting individual that works well on their own, with very little to no supervision, to develop/improve an Army airfield safety program. Work assignment will be managing the various elements of a regional airfield safety program as well as subcontracted aviation COCO and GOCO services and reporting their status to Senior Management Team; must have in-depth knowledge of Federal, Local, and Army methods, practices, principles and procedures to perform effectively; manages resources to promote a wide variety of training activities designed to achieve awareness of airfield safety and corresponding preventive procedures; manages resources to perform on a recurring basis an effective airfield [AAF] and heliport [AHP] management program in accordance with AR-95-2 and standard operating procedures established by the Senio...
