Job Purpose
Collect, organize, and analyze data from all internal and external sources to prioritize and drive cost and performance improvement efforts in all Supply Chain and Material and Operations Accounting activities across the Rail enterprise focused primarily on Freight Car Services and Wheel Axle Bearing Parts. In a highly complex operation with material and other expenditures measured in billions, it is critical to enable better decision-making by providing timely and high-quality data with analysis to senior leaders and to be a key consultant to senior executives in the Rail enterprise with respect to business analysis requirements, projects and initiatives. This includes development of reports and data visualizations as well as utilizing analytical techniques to identify connections, understanding complex data relationships, developing impactful dashboards and metrics for Supply Chain and Material cost performance optimization.
