Island Health has an opportunity for a full-time Anesthesiologist to join a team of five colleagues in a busy anesthesia practice at the Cowichan District Hospital, as we expand our services to meet expanding surgical demand, and prepare for occupation of the new hospital in .

The Cowichan District Hospital, a -bed acute care facility, enjoys an exceptionally collegial atmosphere amongst the general and specialty medical staff. Many local FPs continue to maintain full-service practices and provide inpatient care. Maternity primary care is provided by the Cowichan Maternity Clinic physician, as well as a dedicated group of midwives. Local specialist services include Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Radiology; surgical services include General and Orthopedic Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Plastic Surgery. Our busy ER is served by dedicated ERPs.
