Role and Facility Information

Kelowna: The city is located in the Okanagan with vibrant nature and amenities, providing a desirable place to live and work.

The Cardiac Anesthesia Division consists of 8 members providing pre‑operative consultation, anesthesia for cardiac surgery, and post‑operative care in a 6‑bed ICU (expandable to 8). The division handles 600 cardiac surgery cases per year, with plans for growth, covering the full spectrum of cardiac surgery (excluding minimally invasive procedures and transplant). It also provides short‑term mechanical support (V‑A ECMO, V‑V ECMO, VAD), and supports the TAVI program (150 cases per year). In addition, the division...
