Salary Range

$2,958.29 - $3,783.18 biweekly.

Position Overview

Full‑time position in the City of Stockton Animal Services Department with 8 to 10 hour shifts. The incumbent works in Animal Shelter and Field Services, oversees City-wide animal services under general policy, formulates policy, manages budget, and directs day‑to‑day field and shelter activities.

FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt

Tentative Examination Date: Week of July 20, 2026 (TBD). The candidate must appear in person for examination.

Principal Duties

• Participates in staff selection, training, supervision, and evaluation; recommends disciplinary action.
• Plans, organizes, coordinates, administers and directs the Animal Services Section; develops and implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards.
