Job Description

Join Wilfrid Laurier University as an instructor for AN229: Indigenous Peoples of Canada: Contemporary Issues in Winter 2027. Focus your lectures on sociocultural dynamics impacting Indigenous communities.
The course will be delivered in-person every Monday and Wednesday from 10:00-11:20 AM to a maximum of 70 students. Candidates must have a Master's degree, though a PhD is preferred, particularly with an emphasis on anthropology or Indigenous studies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver tailored lectures addressing Indigenous contemporary issues
• Facilitate discussions among a diverse student body
• Provide evaluations and constructive feedback on student work
• Assist in evolving the course curriculum
• Ensure a welcoming atmosphere fostering collaboration and inclusion
Requirements:
• Required Master's degree; PhD preferred
• Academic focus on Anthropology, Indigenous Studies, or equivalent
