Apprentice Linemaintainer

*IMPORTANT DETAILS*

This recruitment will include several phases, as listed below:

1. Prescreening Assessments (Computer-based: at home or at a testing center near you) - you will have 10 days to complete this assessment

2. Physical Agilities Testing (Onsite at JEA) - tentatively scheduled for May 5**and May 6*

3. Climbing School (Onsite at JEA - four 10 hour days) - tentatively scheduled for weekends throughout June*

4. Tentative Start Date: August 10, 2026*

_Current starting pay is $30.74/hour_, per the collective bargaining agreement (IBEW). As apprentices progress through the four year program, pay increases will be applied every 6 months (roughly) until the program is complete. The current starting pay of a journeyman level Linemaintainer is $55.70/hour.
