Archaeological Permit Holder

Davis MacIntyre & Associates Ltd. is seeking an archaeological supervisor and permit holder for a one-year term commencing mid-April 2026. The permit holder will be working on various projects in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. The projects may include archaeological reconnaissance, shovel testing, and formal excavation. The position is a one-year probationary term with the option to renew based on the employee’s performance and company workload.

Position

The permit holder will report directly to senior staff and will be responsible for:

• Organizing archaeological surveys, shovel testing and formal excavations.
• Supervising small and large crews.
• Analyze and interpret data and formulate informed archaeological recommendations based on DMA and regulatory standards and policies.
