Major Duties and Responsibilities
The Area Manager's responsibility is to oversee the development and implementation of the strategic vision for the area of responsibility. Area Manager's should have a focus on meeting production goals, quality, safety, people leadership, engagement, and financial performance. The role should lead, motivate, and develop the area team to achieve high performance and mutual success of the overall plant. An Area Manager is also responsible for the daily direction setting of the area team, coaching and development of employees, resolving issues, thinking strategically, continuous improvement within the area, cross functional communications, leading the triad including training lead and opex engineer, fuel for growth, people planning, staffing, and overall performance of an area.
