Assistant / Associate Professor – Academic Gastroenterologist

Position Overview

The Department of Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto and the Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre invite applications for an Academic Gastroenterologist. The role is a full‑time appointment as a Clinician Teacher (CT) or Clinician in Quality and Innovation at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with an expected start date of September 1, 2026, or a mutually agreeable date thereafter. The position is 80% clinical, 10% teaching and 10% administrative.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent clinical care for in‑patients and out‑patients.
• Maintain liaison with primary care physicians.
• Supervise trainees in a clinical care setting.
• Deliver formal teaching and scholarly activities.
