Job Details

Our Assistant Head Nurse (RN) will:

+ Assist in directing and evaluating unit personnel and maintain unit operation under the direction of the Director

+ Assign appropriate number and mix of nursing personnel required to meet the identified patients' needs for nursing care. Reassess and adjust staffing and assignments as needed, for their shift.

+ Assess patients during shift by making rounds, directing and communicating with nursing staff focusing on actual or potential nursing problems.

+ Direct and evaluate work performance in terms of patient care, staff relations and adherence to hospital policies, rules and labor relations policies for the shift.
