Assistant Horse Sanctuary Manager

We are an NPO with the goal of rescuing abused and neglected horses. The Gem Project Cape Town is a Horse Sanctuary based in Philadelphia. Our role is to rescue abused and neglected horses, and nurture them back to physical and mental health, with the aim of being able to rehome them to the best suitable homes.

Main purpose of the role

The Assistant to the HORSE SANCTUARY MANAGER will be responsible in assisting in the daily running of the Horse Sanctuary and caring for the neglected and abused horses that we have rescued. Duties will include but not limited to, riding, lunging, backing, Admin, record keeping, assisting with the behavioral and rehabilitation work that each horse needs as well as riding and backing of horses.
