Assistant Mechanic

Job Description:

• Assist in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of construction equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, payloaders, and compactors.
• Perform routine checks on engine performance, oil levels, filters, and hydraulic systems.
• Help in the replacement of parts, lubricating, and cleaning of mechanical components.
• Prepare and organize tools, materials, and spare parts needed for repair or maintenance.
• Support the Mechanic or Equipment Head during troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment to identify early signs of mechanical issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the equipment yard or workshop.
• Always comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
