Assistant Pastry Chef

Core Responsibilities

1. Support the Head Pastry Chef

2. Assist in the daily operations of the pastry section.

3. Follow recipes and instructions provided by the Head Pastry Chef.

4. Take charge of the section in the absence of the Head Pastry Chef.

5. Food Preparation & Production

6. Prepare a variety of baked goods and desserts including cakes, tarts, cookies, mousses, and plated desserts.

7. Decorate and plate desserts for service, buffet, or display.

8. Ensure consistency in product quality, flavor, and appearance.

9. Recipe Execution & Development

10. Execute recipes accurately and consistently.

11. Provide input or feedback on new products and seasonal menu development.

12. Inventory & Stock Management

13. Monitor ingredient usage and assist in ordering supplies.

14. Receive and properly store deliveries.
