Job Description
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of flow cytometry/hematology/hematopathology. Knowledge and/or certification in Molecular Pathology and/or Pathology Informatics is preferred. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology, CP-only or AP/CP.
Teaching responsibilities may include training of medical students, residents, fellows and post-doctoral students, as well as formal lecture opportunities within the Department and Hematopathology Division.
Clinical responsibilities may include evaluation and diagnosis of hematopoietic neoplasms and other disorders, through participation in bone marrow, tissue, flow cytometry services, review of peripheral blood and body fluid smears, and evaluation of hemoglobino...
