Assistant Professor - Canadian Politics

Overview

The Department of Political Science in the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Canadian Politics. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Undertake undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities on the University of Toronto’s downtown (St. George) campus.
• Pursue innovative and independent research at the highest international level and establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program.
• Provide evidence of research excellence through publications, conference presentations, a research statement, awards, and strong endorsements from referees of high standing.
• Contribute to the department through teaching excellence, including a teaching dossier with required materials and teaching evaluations.
