Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment, Department of Anesthesiology & PeriOperative Medicine

The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at UT MD Anderson in Houston, Texas is recruiting an anesthesiologist over the next 6-12 months. This is a full time academic anesthesiology position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA), and will initially carry a 90% clinical effort.
Assistant Professors are expected to have at minimum 2 years as Instructor or at minimum 5 years post degree with any combination of time as a clinician, clinical scientist or GME trainee. Fellowship specialty training with experience in academic anesthesiology is strongly preferred.
New faculty members will be expected to be board certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (or approved foreign equivalent) and be actively participating in the Maintenance of Certification Program, or in the examination system with the ABA.
