Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in health services research

The Health Sciences unit at Tampere Universitys Faculty of Social Sciences is a strong, multidisciplinary and internationally oriented health education and research unit. We offer high-quality undergraduate and graduate education in Health Sciences programs in both Finnish and English. Each year, nearly 100 masters degree students and nearly 20 doctoral degree students graduate, and they go on to hold key expert and research positions in Finland and around the world. 

Our research covers broad and socially significant thematic areas such as health behaviour and health promotion (particularly from the perspectives of children, young people, and families), population aging, disease prevention and control, as well as health policy and service systems. The Health Sciences unit is a World Health Organization collaborating centre, and our researchers are actively involved in several research centres at Tampere University.
