Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream - CLTA - German Language Pedagogy

Position Overview

The Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures invites applications for a three‑year, full‑time, contractually limited term appointment (CLTA) at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, beginning on August 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate German language courses at all levels and deliver innovative second‑language instruction.
• Prepare, deliver, and continually refine course curriculum and online materials.
• Coordinate and mentor teaching assistants and course instructors; steward course materials and curriculum delivery.
• Serve as coordinator of the German language sequence and assist with departmental administration.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues in undergraduate courses and programs.
