Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The Junior Quantity Surveyor will provide commercial and cost support to the project and proposals teams by preparing measurements, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and interim valuations. Assist in contract administration, procurement and final accounts to help deliver projects on budget and on time while developing QS skills and commercial awareness.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and check measurements and bills of quantities from drawings, specifications and site surveys.
Produce cost estimates and cost plans for small works and sub-packages.
Assist in preparing tender documents, obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Support interim valuations and prepare valuation schedules for subcontractors and suppliers.
Monitor project costs, report variances and support the preparation of forecasts and budget updates.
Administer variations and change orders, preparing supporting documentation and cost breakdowns.
