Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Assistant Quantity Surveyor (AQS) is a junior role supporting Senior Quantity Surveyor by helping with cost estimations, budgets, tender preparations and site measurements, focusing on controlling project expenses and ensuring financial viability, often involving administrative tasks, data collection, and collaboration with project teams to manage costs of assigned projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing cost plans for construction projects, including concept design and design development
• Creating tender documents, such as bills of quantities, rates, or schedules
• Preparing the budget for construction documentation, such as architectural and engineering plans, drawings, and specifications
• Conducting preliminary research into construction and budget details to help the quantity surveyor make informed evaluations
