Duties and Responsibilities: Within three months of the anticipated docking period, to create an accurate dry-dock repair specification and go over the work scope in detail with the attending superintendent, site crew, and vessel manager. Communicate with shipyard staff to arrange dock space and to get updates on the status of any ongoing repairs. To evaluate the several yard quotes, bargain, and create a budget that includes the timing and scope of the dry docking process for management's approval. To keep overall dry-docking costs under control and within the allocated budget. To compile weekly financial progress reports in order to let the attending superintendent stay informed about the status of the projects while the shipyard is being repaired.
