About the role

As an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager, you will undertake a leadership role within the Perioperative Services at Whangarei Hospital and provide clinical expertise and direction to the nursing team, supporting best practice and patient‑focused care within a multi‑disciplinary setting.

Key responsibility areas include:

• Contribute to and foster the use of evidence‑based practice.
• Provide professional leadership and supervision of the nursing team.

About the service

Whangarei Hospital has nine operating theatres covering orthopaedics, general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, gynaecology, urology, acute/trauma, and dental.

About you

• New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate (APC).
• Relevant Post‑Graduate Diploma.
• Designated Senior Nurse PDRP or Expert PDRP (demonstrating clinical examples).
