The Center for Sand Hazards and Opportunities in Resilience, Energy, and Sustainability (SHORES) and the Division of Engineering (Civil & Urban Engineering) seeks to recruit an Associate Research Scientist to work on a broader field of geotechnical engineering.


Required Qualifications:

  • A successful applicant must have a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on one or more of the following:

  • Centrifuge experimental testing (design, execution, and data interpretation).

  • Numerical modeling and simulation to complement physical experiments.

  • (Preferred) Proficiency in CAD and modeling tools such as SolidWorks for experimental design and apparatus development.

    • And possess at least three years of relevant professional experience, not including the years spent obtaining the terminal degree. Additional background in areas such as artificial intelligence applications ...
