ATC Specialist

ATEC is looking for an Air Traffic Control Specialist to support the FAA's Airport Facilities Terminal Integration Laboratory (AFTIL). AFTIL provides realistic modeling, simulations, and air traffic scenarios to support the visual validation of planned modifications to airports (e.g., Airport Traffic Control Towers (ATCT), buildings, runways, etc.) and the associated impacts and changes to current Air Traffic (AT) operational procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


+ This position primarily utilizes his/her experience to design air traffic simulations which will be run on the AFTIL’s ATCT simulator.

+ The ATC Specialist will be responsible for interfacing with ATC personnel in the field to gather pertinent air traffic data necessary for respective projects.

+ Travel to various airports to observe their specific air traffic operations and to meet with ATC personnel may be required on occasion.
