JOB SUMMARY:
The Audiologist delivers high-quality, evidence-based audiological care within a tertiary hospital setting. This role includes conducting comprehensive patient assessments, performing advanced diagnostic evaluations, and developing individualized treatment plans for hearing and balance disorders.
The postholder works as part of a multidisciplinary team and contributes to collaborative patient care, supports service development and innovation, and actively participates in clinical education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation
Obtains detailed patient histories, including medical, developmental, social, educational, and familial aspects.
Performs otoscopic examinations to assess the external auditory canal and tympanic membrane, documenting any abnormalities.
