Job Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities
Conduct basic audiological assessments
Use of 2 patient identifiers
Obtain case history from patients and caregivers
Competent in otoscopy, Pure Tone Audiometry, Immitance test (Tympanometry and Acoustic Reflex), Eustachian tube function test, Speech test and Otoacoustic Emission test
Accurate recording and uploading of audiometric test results, and charging on Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Interpret audiometric results for patients, caregivers and health care professionals involved
Provide counseling services to patients, parents and all concerned
Provide Hearing Aid Services/Management
Conduct hearing aid evaluations where patients are given information regarding hearing aids in general, how it helps, and types, features, costs and benefits.
Assist patients in the selection and recommendation of appropriate hearing aids and actual trial on patients.
